Tyler Collins, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, hip, knee, and elbow.

Dr. Collins completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the world renowned Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO. There he learned advanced techniques in hip arthroscopy, complex knee ligament and cartilage reconstruction, and all aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery, including total and reverse shoulder replacement. During his fellowship, he cared for professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, NHL, Olympics, and Major League Baseball. He is currently a pool physician for the US Ski Team.

Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Collins completed his residency at the University of Southern California where he received extensive training in trauma and fracture care at the LAC+USC Medical Center, one of the busiest Level I trauma centers in the country. He also attended medical school at USC, where he graduated as a Deans Scholar.

Prior to pursuing medicine, he graduated with high honors from the University of Virginia where he played NCAA Division I baseball and was Academic All-ACC. As a former college athlete, Dr. Collins recognizes the impact an orthopedic injury can have on your life, and is committed to returning you to an active lifestyle.

Dr. Collins remains active in research and has completed papers and presentations on shoulder fracture treatment, and treatment of young patients with shoulder arthritis. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and The American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM).
