Dr. Scott Edwards is a board certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery, with special qualifications in minimally invasive surgery and advanced reconstructive surgery.

Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Dr. Edwards served as Chief of Hand and Elbow Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. While acting as Associate Professor and clerkship co-director, Dr. Edwards has educated hundreds of resident physicians and medical students. In addition to serving as the Director of Orthopaedic Research at Georgetown University, Dr. Edwards served as an orthopedic clinical consultant to the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. He has edited and authored numerous publications including books, journals, chapters, articles and original papers. He continues to be invited to speak internationally and train surgeons all over the world in advanced techniques.

Dr. Edwards received his hand and upper extremity fellowship training from the Philadelphia Hand Center and Thomas Jefferson Medical College. He completed his residency and internship at University of Tennessee’s Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Edwards earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Edwards is a member of the Orthopedic Trauma Association (OTA), American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), and Eastern Orthopedic Association (EOA).
