Banner CORE Center » Patients & Visitors » Independence Expedition

The Independence Expedition® is an interactive program, to help you learn what you may expect as you embark on your orthopedic journey with Banner CORE Center for Orthopedics. This program will review the “do’s and don’ts” for the 24 hours before surgery, and will explain what will happen the day of surgery.

You will be given a tour of the orthopedic nursing unit. A therapist will review your exercises to do before surgery that will help your recovery, and give you tips that will help protect your new total joint. You can view different types of equipment which will help you on your road to recovery and independence.
